#VlogMom Takes on the Idea of Perfection

A few weeks ago, I was invited to join #VlogMoms, a online community who participates in the weekly vlogging assignments as a way to improve our skills.

Confessions. I absolutely wither on camera– my chins triple, my brow furrows instantly, my hair flattens. It’s quite a spectacle! On the other hand, I love the idea of challenging myself and am filled with nerd giddy at the thought of exploring a new format.

This week’s topic comes from Tania Ruben of Pure Natural Diva. She asks, “What is your biggest character flaw or something with which you struggle?”. Here’s my take on it:

So tell me… How do you handle the pressure of having people peer into life, whether online or in person? What are your biggest flaw?

Look at what the other #VlogMom members have to say on this topic. Leave a comment or make your own video!

  1. Great vlog! I love all the edits you did to really make the vlog come alive. Some day I strive to have a vlog post that is that interactive.

I hope things in your personal life calm down and take a turn for the better…SOON.

  2. that. was. SUPER. Welcome to VlogMom you amazing vlogger. It was fun to watch, we learned something and you’re an editing FORCE.

So. What software do you recommend, Miss Grace?

  3. Ah, perfection. My topic too! And I see others as well. What is that? I will say your editing skills and camera presence are top-notch, the editing is what I need help with for sure! I hope your life calms down enough to let you breathe. Be happy. Go lucky 🙂 Welcome to VlogMom!

  4. Nice blog . i really liked your customizing . It looks Good ..

  5. Grace,
I feel your pain and my life is so “unperfect” I couldn’t fit in time for this week’s #VlogMom. It’s OK not to tell everyone everything. Who wants to hear a whiner? Some struggles are best left for our inner circle of friends. Problem for me is – I don’t really have an inner circle since I moved to Atlanta and became a mom.
Keep your head up and know that you encourage moms like me!

  6. You ROCKED that vlog. I couldn’t agree with you more. While it may seem like I’m holding back it’s not about that-it’s about not being the person that always has to go to the negative. I’ve learned in the last few months that despite life’s challenges you are always able to bring an amazing attitude to anything and I LOVE that about you.

  7. It’s a tough balance, isn’t it? Staying professional online but not holding too much in. I’ve walked the fine line and I have to remember that Twitter is not my therapist (unless I’ve had too much wine). Vlog was great but more importantly I just want to give you a hug!!!

  8. It’s really a great idea that sometimes you need to go out of your comfort zone and do something challenging, and doing vlog is really one of the challenging things for me. I must say that you ‘re doing great on that vlog. So how’s the experience? Thanks for sharing.

  9. I just love vlogs. Being able to see and hear a person who’s blog you read makes it all that much more personable. Thanks for sharing your flaws!
    🙂
