For as many people I know who either are or once were associated with the military, I still cant fully grasp the family aspect of it. It’s probably because I know I could never been that steadfast.
This post, on the other hand, inspired a great deal of… um, discussion… over at ShePosts. All of the hate spewed (read the comments), caused editor-in-chief and fellow writer, Kristen Howerton, to reflect on “blogging and boundaries” on her personal blog. Incidentally, this was the very point she was trying to make with the original post.

We all have an image to maintain…
