ANNOUNCING: I am a ChicaLogic Brand Ambassador!

As I wandered the corridors of the MommyTech Summit at CES 2011 this past January, I was introduced to ChicaLogic by none other than its founder and “Chica in Charge”,  Lori Fraijo Raygoza. ChicaLogic is a PC maintenance solution built around the idea that women approach tech differently than men. I was skeptical at first… 

Not for nothing, but I fancy myself to be a bit of “techspert”, a name my dear friend, Sara from Saving for Someday, coined for me. I research tech solutions for a living. I have brought ailing laptops back from the dead. I get the “geek speak”.  I’m certainly capable of dinking with a few files on my own computer… thankyouverymuch. But Lori was so genuine and certain that I would love it, that promised  her that I would certainly give try it.

When I came home from CES, I downloaded trial versions of ChicaPC-Fix and ChicaPC-Shield on my three-year old laptop. While it was still in a fairly good condition, I had noticed it slowing down a bit. It was  probably nothing more than normal wear and tear, but I figured it was worth a shot. So, I ran the first “PC Health Check” and discovered 739 errors. Quelle horror! 

I was shocked. I was horrified. I was HOOKED!

With a click of my mouse, those errors were eliminated and my happy little lappy was back to full force…. and all without the hours that I would have spent to fix it all on my own…. Ahem!

Beyond being a “techspert” , I am a woman who believes in getting stuff done… quickly. Do you know what doesn’t help getting things done? Having to sit at your computer for hours on end, parsing through broken files, wayward links, and deleting stuff!

It’s not about can’t. It’s about why have to. As they say on their website:

How to Extend the Life of Your PC

The trouble with running a social media empire is having to keep that social media empire actually running– through malware and fail whales, in blue screens and sluggish performance, beyond system upgrades and system failures.

Behind every Internet superstar is probably one (or two) ailing computers puttering along. You know you should be purging broken links, seeking out malware, and deleting corrupt files from your computer, but it’s hard to know how to even begin. Much less have the time!

In light of recent attacks on everything from Sony to PBS and even the impenetrable FBI, as well as email breeches, it’s hard to feel secure online. On top of that, there’s the normal wear and tear that comes with owning a computer– clutter, system errors, and slowing down over time. Many of these threats are unknown and are certainly unexpected. Can you ever really predict a computer crash? Could you imagine what would be lost if it ever happened to you?
