From my squishy brain to yours.

Lots to do…

Proper Prior Planning…

I’ve been focusing on my job for the past few years, and have completely neglected my web page.  In my (infrequent) spare time I still try to work on my own game.  A number of months ago I decided it was time to develop and publish a game of my own.  I’ve decided to choose a simple concept, and focus on just completing and publishing the game.  This way I can experience first-hand all of the aspects of designing, programming, illustrating, publishing, and marketing a product.

I’ve made a lot of progress, but there is still a lot to do.  Here is a sampling of my Trello board for the project.  All of those little boxes are tasks that require my attention.  Ack.

About The Author

I've had the good fortune to work on a variety of quality game, TV, and film projects. I graduated with a degree in Film Production from the University of Southern California while learning programming on my own time, and then built a career solving technical challenges in artistic mediums. I have primarily focused on writing code for game engines, computer graphics pipelines, character rigging, and tools that support artists' workflows. I've had the chance work in mobile game development and help craft solutions for remote configuration and metrics, analytics, LiveOps, backend systems, ad monetization and user acquisition, and build systems. I have contributed code, managed and trained teams, and advised other departments on best ways to move forward. I value good communication, solid engineering practices, and smooth development processes, and strive to maintain these while still balancing against the realities of delivering a product to customers within the resources available. I'm looking forward to working on game titles that players love, that they talk about with their friends, and that they will remember fondly in years to come.
