Several months ago, I tried to start sharing a regular round up interesting and informative post from around the web. Fittingly, it was called “Weekend Round Up” and it was short-lived because…Well, I fell off the face of the Earth. Okay, not really. I just got very distracted and stop blogging for a while.
As part of my return to blogging, I’ve decided to bring back this feature and calling it the “Monday Morning Status”, which hearkens back to my ad agency days.
With the entire country heading back to school this month, I can’t think of a better way to kick off this segment than with some tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way:
Rage Against the Minivan
We are making a concerted effort in our family to start having the kids take over some of the domestic duties. Both Mark and I work, and the household stuff is often piling up since we have four small kids who are better at making messes than clearwing them up. So far, they’ve gotten pretty adept at putting their own laundry away. My goal for this year is to get them involved in making their own lunches…

But here’s where they were wrong: They didn’t ask a teacher. Well, sure. They had a quote from a teacher that was shocked at how much it costs at back to school season, but in their list of items people don’t need, the writers did not have a clear understanding why the items were on the list. They went on and on releasing judgement, yet nowhere is a teacher asked why she chooses these items….
